Graston Technique (IASTM)

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization using specially designed stainless steel tools to detect and treat fascial restrictions, scar tissue, and soft tissue adhesions.

What is Graston Technique (IASTM)?

The Graston Technique uses ergonomic instruments that glide along the skin to detect areas of tissue fibrosis and restriction. The controlled microtrauma created by the instruments initiates a healing response that breaks down scar tissue, increases blood flow, and promotes tissue remodeling. It is commonly used for tendinopathies, ligament sprains, and post-surgical scarring.

Who is it for?

Patients with soft tissue adhesions, scar tissue from injury or surgery, chronic tendon conditions, or restricted range of motion.

Benefits

  • Breaks down scar tissue and adhesions
  • Increases blood flow to affected areas
  • Accelerates tissue remodeling
  • Effective for chronic tendon conditions
