Sciatica

Pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve from the lower back through the hip and buttock and down the leg, typically caused by nerve compression or irritation.

What is Sciatica?

Sciatica is a symptom of an underlying condition — most commonly a herniated disc, spinal stenosis, or piriformis syndrome — that compresses or irritates the sciatic nerve. Symptoms include sharp or burning pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness in the affected leg. Most cases resolve with conservative treatment.
