Tendinitis

Inflammation or irritation of a tendon — the thick fibrous cord that attaches muscle to bone — commonly caused by repetitive motion, overuse, or acute injury.

What is Tendinitis?

Tendinitis most frequently affects the shoulder, elbow (tennis/golfer's elbow), wrist, knee (patellar tendinitis), and Achilles tendon. Chronic tendinitis often progresses to tendinosis, involving structural degeneration of the tendon. Treatment includes rest, physical therapy, shockwave therapy, and regenerative injections.

Who is it for?

Athletes, manual laborers, and active adults with localized tendon pain that worsens with activity and improves with rest.

Benefits

  • Accurate diagnosis identifies the affected tendon
  • Multiple treatment modalities available
  • Shockwave therapy promotes tendon healing
